French-Portuguese DJ and producer born in Alsace and now based in Lisbon, ALEX MENDES has built a solid reputation on the European electronic music scene. His career is marked by key milestones, both behind the decks and in his studio work.

He began his career in 2014 in Mulhouse as a founding member of the Bass Couture association. Very quickly, he established himself on the Swiss scene with a residency at the Nordstern club in Basel (2014-2016), followed by a residency for Terrazzza in Zurich until 2018. During these years, he shared the stage with major figures such as Maceo Plex, Apollonia, Anja Schneider, Enzo Siragusa, Guti, Djebali, Âme, The Martinez Brothers, Paco Osuna, Martin Buttrich, Magda and Damian Lazarus.

After stepping back from the club scene to focus intensively on production, ALEX MENDES made a full comeback in 2023. This resurgence was marked by a strong studio presence with his first EP on Wefine, followed in 2024 by his track « Space Like Me » on Cod3 QR, Laurent Garnier’s label. Alongside these releases, he returned to clubs and festivals, officially marking his return to DJing.

In January 2024, he founded his own label, Yucatec , releasing its first album. Since then, his productions have also been featured on the EP Digital and Electronik Zoo run by Marco Bailey. Alex continues to solidify his signature sound, both through his productions and his performances behind the decks.

For E-KWALITY RADIO, he will present his MUSIC FOR THE SOUL residency, full of eclecticism and electronic richness, between ambient, deep and techno.
